Internet advertising rates for this model is calculated by measuring click throughs, most commonly called CTR. The higher the CTR of the advertiser, the higher the revenue the site owner will get. Depending on the niche target of your site or how well targeted it is, will be the basis in computing the cost-per click. The volume of the CTR and your ad relevance will have a major correlation with your niche target. The Google Adsense is the perfect example of this model. Of course, the more expensive the product or service of the advertiser, the higher you can charge for the CPC or cost-per-click.

Cost per action model

This is a mover complicated system as the Cost per action model or CPA provides that advertisers can only pay if a certain action or event is satisfied under your agreement. New web site subscribers, newslettet subscription, trial/downloan or sites that focuses on selling, are using this type of model. The industry which uses it will be the basis of the rate of the CPA. This model is similar to earning a commission. For example, if you are selling a laptop, the CPA is higher when you are selling an e-book subscription.

Brand Name or Generic  The answer here is it depends.  Definitely if your business is known by a fairly well known brand name, then you would want to try and secure that as your domain name.  For instance, Nike.com is a well known brand name site, although there is nothing in the domain name to suggest that it is a site about shoes.  Still, Nike is such a well known brand name to the public that people automatically know what they will be shopping for when they get there.  If your brand name is well known, definitely try to obtain your brand name as a domain name.  But if your company is Nike or Coca Cola or Budweiser don’t discount the idea of buying the domain name shoes.com or soda.com or beer.com if they are available as well.  People often search the web using generic terms, more so even than brand names.  A person is more likely to search the internet with generic terms like shoes or footwear or sneakers than to search by a single brand name, even one as big as Nike.  Think it through and hedge your bets.  You can have as many domain names as you want pointing to a single website, so the more generic terms you can acquire that directly describe your business, the better.   A generic name if your business is new or not yet well known can get great results, if you can find a good one.  To start your search for your own unique domain name, here is a link to a domain name search engine.

THE KEYS TO PROFITABLE BLOGGING

Blogging may have started out as a way to express yourself, like a diary or online journal, but recently many, myself included, have found that we can use our personal stories, ideas, passions and writing skills to make money.

How, you ask?  I target a highly interested audience of readers who are also consumers. In other words, make money blogging must attract those people who readily spend money to pursue their hobbies, interests and desires.

I find that in order to make money blogging it is imperative that you create or acquire interesting content, content that people are looking for, that they’ll talk to their friends about and come back for over and over again.

You must give ongoing value to get visitors to return to your site repeatedly, and for them to want to share your site with others.

Then just pick a theme, niche, or topic, and start writing!  I know this is an over simplification, but it also contains the essence of what is required.
