In this article we will look at the positive motivators, and I am going to presuppose that you have read my previous article (’Part 1′), which discusses the negative motivating factors. The positive factors ‘pull towards’, while the negative ones ‘push away from’. If we can get them to act in unison, so much the better!

Lou Tice, founder of the Pacific Institute, once related the story of how he had to help a world-class Kenyan athlete to overcome a physical problem. Although this guy was Olympic material, he often developed a physical pain so bad that he had to stop running. After listening to the athlete’s story, Tice advised him to quit running altogether. You see, it transpired that the athlete could support his family with the proceeds from his wins, and that was his main motivator. Tice felt that it was simply not a good enough motivation for such a lofty goal.

Nobody, but nobody on this planet has ever become good at anything overnight. I think the media are guilty of creating misconceptions here. They present a distorted timeline by (inadvertently) depicting the change from failure to success, from obscurity to stardom, in a few episodes on TV or in less than two hours in a movie.

In the real world the ‘overnight success’ is usually preceded by years, even decades, of practice, hardships and disappointments. This applies equally well to marketers, musicians, artists and sports stars. So, on your way to becoming that marketing ‘rock star’, you are going to encounter numerous distractions and obstacles. There will be days when you wonder if it’s worth all the effort, and you will consider quitting on many occasions.

In view of this, you should ensure that your reasons for doing someting are so good that they outweigh any opposing forces. To be really good at anything, be that sports, art, gardening, or network marketing, you have to be hang in there for as long as it takes to be successful. And for that you require an intense level of motivation, preferably of the positive kind! So how do you get this?

The pieces of the puzzle will come together if you can get yourself to a position of ‘must’ have. There simply should be no alternative to achieving that goal. And you create this situation by having enough magnificent ‘why’s. The more you have, and the more they pull you in the same direction, the better. What I mean by magnificence is that the end result must really resonate within you at a gut level. On a scale of 0 to 10 it must be able to evoke a ‘10′ response. Sweaty skin. Heart beating faster. Dilated pupils.

I do not know what your motivators might be; you will have to do a lot of soul-searching. Take a piece of paper, write down your goals, and order them in descending order of importance. Analyze the ones at the top. If they evoke that magic euphoric response, if you must realize them at all cost, come hell or high water, despite all odds, you are on the right track. Only 9/10? Hmm - not so good.

At this point I’d like to introduce some perspective. This series of articles deals mostly with money. Money is EXTREMELY important. But so is life, health, love, family and friends: to name but a few. In the final analysis you cannot have anything if it is not important to you. So if someone tries to tell you money is not important, don’t believe him - he’s broke.

Success in network marketing, and the cash flow it brings, is not the ultimate goal. But some of the things you can do with that money - wow! So when (not ‘if’) you become that network marketing success story, and you do break through the 0,000/month ceiling - what’s your life gonna look like? Your lifestyle? The people that you hang out with? Your toys? Your appearance? The hospital in Africa you will be sponsoring? Now you need to become super-creative!

Are you new to Internet marketing and want to know exactly what you need to get started the right way? Have you been marketing online for a while, but feel that something is holding you back, but you can not quite figure out what?  Well, this article is for you.

I understand how online marketing can seem overwhelming to the beginner. There is so much information out there! I am going to attempt to give you the essentials of what is needed for online marketing success in this article.

1. A list - Your first goal is to build a list of prospects that are interested in what you are promoting.  Notice I’m talking about marketing or promoting your business.  You will want to learn how to market online.  You should select one marketing technique and not quit until you master it.
2. A website - Specifically, you need your own webpage that brands you, telling your story and showing your picture.
3. A sales funnel - The funnel is a tool used to offer tools and resources to solve the issues being faced by your prospects.  Your prospects will see you as a leader because you provide solutions to them, and this will help you build relationships with them.  This industry is about relationship-building. Your sales funnel will help you build those relationships with prospects. This funded-proposal strategy allows you to create multiple streams of income.
4. A system - You need a system that will help you train your new people and market your business effectively.  Such a system will leverage your time and your energy by making it easy to plug your new distributors into it.
5. A primary opportunity - After your prospects have been offered several tools and resources, the system should introduce your primary opportunity naturally.

The sixth element, the one that is often overlooked and underestimated, is what I call “self work”.

We need to work on ourselves, not just our businesses, to be successful.The harder we work on ourselves, the greater the impact we will see on our businesses.

What does “self work” include?

– Self work includes daily work on maintaining the righ way of thinking. Are your limiting beliefs holding you back?   Is your poverty mentality limiting your business success? Free your mind of any limiting thoughts about your ability to do this business and about whether your business will really work. “Stinkin Thinkin” can demolish your business.

— Self work also includes looking for ways to add value. You should learn about new marketing methods. You should develop and expand your skills. You then will want to share what you learn with your team. You will become more and more valuable to your team as you seek ways to add value. Always seek to increase your value to others.

To summarize, you want an online marketing system that:

–Includes a customizable website that builds “YOU, Inc.”
–Helps you build your list by offering value and generating multiple streams of income.
— Passively introduces your primary opportunity to your prospects and trains new distributors.

To be successful marketing online, be sure to commit fully to your online marketing system.
