I found an Internet marketing strategy that is simple and inexpensive. The strategy takes some time and effort, but the results speak for themselves.

I found this method in mid December 2007 and it started to show result on January 4th 2009. I started using the method in the billiards niche. I chose this particular niche because I have been building a content site around pool and billiards since January 2007, and also because I love to play it.

The method is a combination of blogging, social book marking and article submission. I know this can sound kind of confusing, but it is really quite simple. This powerful internet marketing strategy will only takes few minutes of your time everyday but the results can be amazing.

The blog that I started about billiards had over 11000 hits in January. This is pretty cool considering I set the blog up on my domain and wrote the first article on January 4th.

This is a fun way to build traffic to your website and pay it forward with some knowledge for other people interested in your niche.

When doing this type of marketing, it is important to pick a topic that you know and have a true passion for. This makes it much easier to write about.

Don’t worry if you have never written anything before. If you have passion on the subjet that you’re writting, everything will flow from your mind easily. Your passion will come through in your writing and the audience who reads it will respect that.

Writing content like this is no different with a simple communication. Just write as if you are talking to a friend and let if flow by itself.

How To Make Money From Passions

Many people who want to make money online will jump righ in before they are properly trained. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don’t just jump right in unprepared.

This applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who’d have you believe it’s a “Walk in the Park” and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that?

The age old question which asks “what comes first the chicken or the egg”? Personally I vote for, well never mind, each argument you or I make comes back to the same old conclusion - I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Many internet “gurus” feet that they are so good at what they do that they may ignore passion because they have been so successful. I would be concernced about those marketers who are not as knowledgeable to operate a successful online business.

Now, I’m not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. To be truly successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Most of these things can be found in the company you join - but if you have no passion then you do reduce your changes of success..

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won’t stumble.

A great resource to research about the Internet Marketing Industry and business opportunities is the Internet Search Engines, Use It!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business - does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet “guru” does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

You must remember there are other steps you must take before moving into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

This was accomplished initially in direct response sales letter and later adapted for the web in the form of the Long Form Sales Letter that we have been accustomed to all these glorious days. For those not familiar with the make up of a sales letter, there are variations but a common theme is effective use of the AIDA principle starting with a hard to ignore attention-grabbing headline, fast-paced action-packed writing, emotionally hooking anecdotes and fantastic claims couched in reality, tons of endorsement from happy customers who used the service or bought the product being pitched and culminating in an urgent call to action. With the advent of rich media dominated web 2.0 world what becomes of the beloved Long Form Sales Letter? While there’s a valid reason to be concerned, this is no time for panic. Burying your head in the sand would be counterproductive and absolutely useless. There’s a glimmer of hope for those who understand the fundamentals of the sales process. Dan Kennedy’s 6 steps of sales process outlined in his outrageously amazing book “No B.S Sales Success” is the gold standard. Understanding this process and internalizing it should encourage anyone concerned about the shift towards online video. If you understand online video is just another medium to transmit your pitch, then you should have no problem adopting online video as a vehicle for broadcasting your sales message, getting prospects to take action and having them to stampede in a mad frenzy to your website and buy your stuff.

Another reason to be excited about online video, Infomercials - they provide a template that can be adapted, with some tweaks, to devastating effect.  You see, while a hyper-texted web was finding its footing, infomercials were the medium of choice for savvy marketers who figured the dead airtime on cable and broadcast TV were a gold mine. Their bet was that there is a huge potential in late night TV viewership and the rest, like they say, is commentary. These savvy early adopters cleaned out their competitors’ clocks. This has to be one of the most enlightening stuff Carlton said - everything he says is pure genius!

Ok, If you understand the sales process and can tweak infomercial tactics for the web how could you accomplish this? Before you leap in here’s a cautionary reminder, online sales video must adhere to the same principles that led to the success of the sales letter: Grab attention, hook the prospect and get the viewer to take action. The catch is to do this in about 5 minutes or less. You should have a well laid out strategy for delivering your sales message via video. The core of this strategy is adding value to your prospects before they buy one single thing from you. Though it’s possible to make your pitch in your first video, you must promise and deliver tremendous value to the prospect if the prospect takes action. Providing social proof, establishing authority and having a ‘reason why’ should be the other key components of your core strategy. This is the secret sauce to video marketing success just as in sales letter - remember the essence of the sales letter hasn’t changed much since Ben Franklin.

 4.  Write Articles - So many people are doing this that I’m not even sure this is a tip, but regardless you need to write articles that link back to your site.Don’t stress it too much… just do it!  If you’re good, you can pump out a few articles in an hour that you can distribute to various article databases on the internet.

 5.Classifieds - Get your site into online and offline publications.  Online, you can use craigslist and any number of ad sites like vflyer or postlets.Offline, print an add in your local newspapers. Making a press association ad can be very effective as well!

 6.  PPC (Pay Per Click) - Just pay for your traffic!There are many PPC services out there. You pretty much just have to pick one.Pay per click comes in many forms.  It really just depends on what method you think would best suit your customers.

 7.Backlinks - Create one way backlinks from other peoples sites to yours.  The more people your website is available to, the more likely it is that people will click to your site and you can make a sale.
