In addition to having to deal with email internet marketing, affiliate marketing training, make money on the internet & increase traffic to your website - yes you’ll use a particular type of language in any advertising space you use to try to entice citizens to click, but once you’ve placed the ad in out there, it’s there and it’s not going to change. Even google ad words advertising falls into this more passive category. However with many of the techniques of small business world wide web marketing, the things you do are much more active. If you seo your website, that might seem passive because you only do it once. However, that way of thing may not happen to be exactly what people call the truth. 

You may choose to focus on list building, internet affiliate marketing, ways to make money online & increase traffic to your website but the fact is that as you add new information on your website, you will actually be doing more tweaking. You’ll use different keywords in varying parts of the site. Sure, if you use banner advertising you’ll change them now and again, but it’s still much more static that almost any other type of marketing you can do. And unless you have a huge advertising budget, those static pay-per-clicks probably will not get you extra revenues. It’s the moving nature of SME internet marketing that will be seen to attract people to your website and have them wanting to come back. And when they keep visiting, they’re once again faced with the things you offer. It can take a person 6 or 7 times to be presented with an offer before they want to purchase, so the more you get them at your website, seeing your services, the more likely it is you’ll make a paying customer out of them.

While knowing how to builld websites or blogs is not a requirement to make money online, it will make your life much easier if you do know how to do these things. You don’t have to be a guru, just know the basics. I bet chances are good that you want to learn how to make money online and do it fast. I’m right aren’t I? I hate to bust your bubble, but if you’re just starting out, this will probably be over your head. Get basic web or blog building knowledge first and everything else will fall into place.

I find ways to make money just about everywhere I look, you can also. Pay particularl close attention to your local area. My most profitable websites are about everyday stuff that people are needing info on. Some of my sites cover things like how to make extra money or how to fix a certain car and many others. If you try and tackle the really competitive stuff like make money online, insurance, student loans and all that other stuff, you’re going to go down in flames.

Your town or city is full of keywords just waiting to be monetized. While you’re driving around, read everything you can to come up with ideas. I like billboards and shopping center signs. Not a trip to town goes by that I don’t come home with some ideas for new websites.

Local niches are often overlooked but can be a highly profitable way to make money online. Never overlook your local city or town as a source for online profits. I have a teeth whitening site that targets an area of Atlanta GA. This site is monetized with Adsense and brings me in several hundred dollars per month and I do nothing but build a few links each month.

I would have never ranked for teeth whitening in general because it’s very competitive. You’ll find every city or town has a local population that goes to the Internet when they need a product or service. All it takes is a little bit of keyword research to see what words and phrases the local population is using to find a specific product or service. Then build your site and get it ranked for those words and phrases and you should start seeing money flow in.

Another excellent way to make money online is to build a site for a local service, get it ranked #1 and then let the top comanies in that industry bid on it. I’ll use a Plumbing service to demnstrate how I pull this off. . Once I have a site built and perform the necessary SEO in order to outrank everyone else, I then contact all the companies that I can and offer them the site. It helps if you can show them how much traffic your site is getting. Just tell them this is the amount of traffic they’re missing by not being in the number one spot. I can usually get around 5k per site. Not bad for about 10 to 15 hours worth of work.

I’ve received offers the same day I sent out the notices that the site was for sale. Don’t be surprised if these people also want to hire you to maintain the site as well. I’ve received many offers for full time positions as a Webmaster from these companies. If they have the money, then I’ll usually negotiate a price right then and there. Just be sure to remind them that they competitors out there willing to pay my asking price. The more they want me to do, the more they have to pay!

Work at being different and coming up with original ideas and you’ll find that the money comes easier. There are just so many ways to make money on the Internet. All you have to do is be creative and come up with a few good ideas. Don’t worry if a couple of your ideas bomb. I’ve had some real dogs over the years that I thought would be the next big thing|Failure is a great learning opportunity if you use it wisely~You’re going to have failures, just be sure you learn from them}. Just dust yourself off and move on.

Network Marketing Hit/Sign Up Ratio

First let me tell you that this is more of an educated guess based on past experiences, then a factual document but should be very close to factual, so use this info as my opinion please… 
 
I figure the following estimates for 1 signup, these are NOT  based on impressions of a link but are based on how many people actually visit the page and hear the message (a hit to a site). 
 
To get 1 sign-up:

• 15,000 hits from an auto-surf exchange.
• 4,000 hits from a manual hit exchange.
• 1,500 from emailed ads (these are how many people visit the site, not how many get the email)
• 100 pay-per-click targeted advertising (like google adwords)
• 50 message boards/classified ad hits (again not how many people see the message, but how many people visit the site after seeing the message)
• 100 banner hits (again not how many people see the banner, but how many people visit the site after seeing the banner) 

  
Now what is the difference between impressions vs hits?

Most people are confused.A hit is when someone is actually sent to the page (an actual click on your link).   An impression on the other hand is when you have a link or a banner and it is shown to people, they still haven’t visited (clicked on it) the site until they are sent to the site. 
 
How many impressions before you get a hit? (this also is just an educated guess and also depends on your banner or link):  

1000 impressions banner or link should get you 1 hit.Now these numbers will changed based on how much info you give them.

For example, if you posted a link on a message board (note some message boards don’t allow advertising) and you gave a testimonial or a little sales pitch with it then you are probably getting even as good as: 20 impressions for every 1 hit. 
 
Simply do the math.
 
Say you join a banner exchange, you would need to get (approximately) 100,000 impressions before you got one sale.Because, with 100,000 impressions you should get about 100 hits and out of those you would get approx. 1 signup.  I am NOT saying do not do banner advertising, I am just trying to help you to set the proper expectations. 
 
Now here are some other statistics that are worth mentioning:  
(these are based on other projects that I have done or researched)

For every 40 (leads) phone calls you make, you should get someone to signup. 
For every 10 people that you know that you talk to about this, like friends and family you would get a signup. 
 
This number increases based on how much info you are able to give them. 
For example, if you have them watch the DVD from GDI. 
This number also increases if you watch it with them. 
 
This is why most network marketing companies encourage you to talk to their friends and families.

So the bottum line is this is simply a numbers game there is no magic bullet to come and save you, the only way you are going to truly be able to make money online as an affiliate or otherwise is to get your offer in front of Thousands of interested people.

If you’re new to blogging, you’ll eventually find out that one of the best ways to make money online with a blog is by signing up for an affiliate program.  This is an especially good tactic for blogging neophytes who still haven’t established their online presence to sell products of their own or created by others, and who need a bit of a push towards earning extra money.

First things first, however. What exactly does it mean to be an affiliate? When you sign up for an affiliate program, you agree to drive traffic and/or sales to your partner site in exchange for a commission. Affiliate programs like these abound; some of the most popular ones include Google Adsense, Amazon.com Associates, Clickbank, and Azoogle.

Given all these, however, affiliate marketing isn’t tantamount to instant money. Always, the challenge is to encourage people to click through to your affiliate’s website or offer page. After all, some people couldn’t care less about the sort of advertising on your site, or what those banners on your home page have to offer to them. And yet there are marketing strategies that you can implement to ensure that you’re doing justice to your affiliate program and coming up with as much profit as you can. 1. Stick to the simpler things:

The less invasive an advertisement link or banner ad is, the less likely that people will ignore it.  In fact, there’s mounting evidence that flashier and louder ads are ineffective in “convincing” people to click on them.  And in some cases, a blog’s advertisements end up loading too slowly, bogging down the site itself and forcing the blog visitor to wait until all the page elements load successfully.  If your affiliate program asks you to advertise, opt to do so with link ads.

2.  Tie your affiliate program and your blog niche together:

If your site focuses on fitness and weight loss, it’s not a good idea to put up ads for Krispy Kreme donuts or plus-size clothing. Instead, choose ads that are concurrent to your present theme or chosen niche. By dangling relevant offers to your site’s visitors, you give off the message that you care enough about your readers to offer them products that might be useful to them, given their interests.

3. Play the field:

Make the probability game work in your favour: sign up for multiple affiliate programs, and tweak them all so they work in harmony with each other. For example: you can use Google Adsense alongside other affiliate programs. Be sure to implement this in moderation, however. Most readers are turned off by excessive advertising, so don’t be too blatant about your intent to earn money. Instead, position your ads tastefully, in such a way that your readers don’t feel like their experience of your blog is akin to staring at a huge billboard.

4.  Create a commissioned review:

What kind of products will your readers be interested in?  Since you’re serving a particular market with your blog, respond to their interests by coming up with product evaluations that can help them make better purchases.  And we aren’t just talking about any old review here – instead, we’re referring to a commissioned review from places like ReviewMe.com, where a blogger can get paid for evaluating a specific product.  Not only do you get to help your readers – you also stand to earn money for your efforts!

It’s not too hard to figure out how affiliate marketing works, or what it takes to be a good affiliate.  Refining your strategy with affiliate programs is just one of the better ways to make money blogging, and when it’s used prudently and wisely with your existing marketing strategy, your blog is bound to go places.
