While knowing how to builld websites or blogs is not a requirement to make money online, it will make your life much easier if you do know how to do these things. You don’t have to be a guru, just know the basics. I bet chances are good that you want to learn how to make money online and do it fast. I’m right aren’t I? I hate to bust your bubble, but if you’re just starting out, this will probably be over your head. Get basic web or blog building knowledge first and everything else will fall into place.

I find ways to make money just about everywhere I look, you can also. Pay particularl close attention to your local area. My most profitable websites are about everyday stuff that people are needing info on. Some of my sites cover things like how to make extra money or how to fix a certain car and many others. If you try and tackle the really competitive stuff like make money online, insurance, student loans and all that other stuff, you’re going to go down in flames.

Your town or city is full of keywords just waiting to be monetized. While you’re driving around, read everything you can to come up with ideas. I like billboards and shopping center signs. Not a trip to town goes by that I don’t come home with some ideas for new websites.

Local niches are often overlooked but can be a highly profitable way to make money online. Never overlook your local city or town as a source for online profits. I have a teeth whitening site that targets an area of Atlanta GA. This site is monetized with Adsense and brings me in several hundred dollars per month and I do nothing but build a few links each month.

I would have never ranked for teeth whitening in general because it’s very competitive. You’ll find every city or town has a local population that goes to the Internet when they need a product or service. All it takes is a little bit of keyword research to see what words and phrases the local population is using to find a specific product or service. Then build your site and get it ranked for those words and phrases and you should start seeing money flow in.

Another excellent way to make money online is to build a site for a local service, get it ranked #1 and then let the top comanies in that industry bid on it. I’ll use a Plumbing service to demnstrate how I pull this off. . Once I have a site built and perform the necessary SEO in order to outrank everyone else, I then contact all the companies that I can and offer them the site. It helps if you can show them how much traffic your site is getting. Just tell them this is the amount of traffic they’re missing by not being in the number one spot. I can usually get around 5k per site. Not bad for about 10 to 15 hours worth of work.

I’ve received offers the same day I sent out the notices that the site was for sale. Don’t be surprised if these people also want to hire you to maintain the site as well. I’ve received many offers for full time positions as a Webmaster from these companies. If they have the money, then I’ll usually negotiate a price right then and there. Just be sure to remind them that they competitors out there willing to pay my asking price. The more they want me to do, the more they have to pay!

Work at being different and coming up with original ideas and you’ll find that the money comes easier. There are just so many ways to make money on the Internet. All you have to do is be creative and come up with a few good ideas. Don’t worry if a couple of your ideas bomb. I’ve had some real dogs over the years that I thought would be the next big thing|Failure is a great learning opportunity if you use it wisely~You’re going to have failures, just be sure you learn from them}. Just dust yourself off and move on.
